Tannaz Fathi was born in Tehran and after completing high school, attended Tehran and Azad universities where she obtained her bachelor degree in Theater and Associate degree in Traditional Arts. From early childhood she was interested in arts and music and enjoyed entertaining people with her creative imagination in acting and voice production. She pursued her interest in acting while contributing to theatrical plays and productions in Iran while in high school.
As she became more passionate about her work, she continued to work in acting on stage, TV series, and big screen while in college. She also practiced and taught the art of crafts, ceramics, and painting. In addition, she studied traditional Persian art history.
She immigrated to Los Angeles in late 1990’s where she performed in musical theater
“Mah Dar Ayeneh” which portrayed the life of Ghamar Molouk Vaziri who was the first female singer in Iran.
Then she began working in Jam-E-Jam TV as a TV producer and host where she interviewed and produced programs with many Persian celebrities and artists. She hosted one of the first international TV’s in Los Angeles. She also wrote articles for Persian magazines.
In 1999, she joined KIRN 670AM 24 hours radio from the beginning of the operations as a producer, host, narrator, and news writer and anchor. In addition, she was also the voice of many radio ads which have contributed significantly to the success of the marketing of the radio. She narrated more than 300 night stories portraying different characters and voices which calmed and comforted the listeners on a nightly basis. She also interviewed many artists, musicians, celebrities, and professionals.
She continues to pursue her passion in arts as a voice personality, contributing to hundreds of voice translations for main characters for movies and TV series. She has collaborated in her radio show “Rangin Kaman” with her co-host Mr. Parviz Firoozkar, in the past 15 years, entertaining listeners and providing them with the latest local and international news mixed with music and laughter.
