Parvin Javadi holds a BA of Fine Arts from California State University at Fresno, a MA in Mass Communications (RTVF) from California State University at Northridge, and a Masters of Psychology from Philips Graduate Institute. She has been active in the world of Persian poetry and music all her life. She started writing poetry at an early age when some of her works were published in magazines in Iran. She has been one of the main promoters of traditional music of Iran in the United States since 1986. She co-founded Kereshmeh Records and Persian Arts Society with Shahrokh Yadegari, and has organized concerts and North American tours for such musicians as Mohamamd Reza Shajarian, Shahram Nazeri, Haj Ghorban soleimani, Parisa, Sima Bina, the Kamkars, Hossein Alizadeh, Dariush Talaie and Hossein Omoumi. Parvin Javadi is the host and producer of the "Fresh Air" (Haveye Tazeh) program on KIRN 670 AM. Her program is a mixture of interviews and commentary, and features some of the most best traditional, regional, and new music of Iran. She is also the founder and director of the "Music Therapy Group" in Los Angles.
